iCare have announced a record final fundraising figure for it's annual Christmas Extravaganza - Santa's Gatelodge
The Charity raised a staggering £42,000 over the 19 night event, which will be used to grant iCare Wishes in local communities across Ireland.
Launched in 2010, Santa’s Gatelodge has grown in popularity to become THE Christmas destination for families across the Country.
The final fundraising amount was announced at iCare’s recent volunteer presentation evening, where iCare Development Manager Laura McDonald sincerely thanked each and every volunteer, many of whom offered between 50 and 100 hours of their time. She said, “Without your continued dedication and commitment to iCare we simply wouldn’t be able to run Santa’s Gatelodge. You go above and beyond to support our charity and give back to your local community and I am delighted to celebrate and recognise your commitment this evening by presenting you with your Millennium Volunteer Award.”
Speaking about those that travelled to visit Santa’s Gatelodge, she said “iCare would sincerely like to thank all the families who came to visit the Gatelodge without whom this fundraising achievement would not be possible. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone again at Christmas 2018 so stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for ticket release dates. We will also be sharing details of the iCare Wishes we grant throughout the year.”
